Matthew 18:20

Prayer for Christmas
As
people gather to worship God this Sunday we pray they would engage
with God as they hear the events of the Incarnation; be blessed by
the Holy Spirit; and moved in their own spirit to acknowledge that
Jesus is God. May those who only come to worship at Christmas find
warm, loving, welcoming communities of God's people that they may
discover a place of belonging where they may explore their spiritual
need for a Saviour.
30/12/07 Rev J Young Kirkmahoe
In
Kirkmahoe hope fills our minds at this time of year; we hope that
Richard Hammond, our former minister, continues to see his health
improve; we hope that those members and parishioners who have been
bereaved in the year will find this holy season helpful rather than
difficult; we hope that our vacancy will not last too long; we hope
that the life of the Church will not suffer too much from loss of
leadership; we hope that entire Church within our Presbytery bounds
will be nourished by the Season and so fed to be Christ's people in
2008.
